I DID IT: Emograph. Only
at the opening!
Measure
your heartbeat! Emograph is a device for measuring
heartbeat. Once measured, your pulse and feelings are
visualised in a mosaic of colours and sounds. The unique
heart kaleidoscope is screened onto the Simulaker
Gallery façade. Emograph is an invention of the artistic
production group I DID IT from Riga.

Two empty houses on Glavni Square - Aleksandra Stratimirovic: Kind
Spirits.
The
project exposes the problem of abandoned empty houses.
It inhabits them with new residents, the kind spirits
that are almost invisible, silent, and always willing to
help. Aleksandra Stratimirović is a co-founder of the
Lighting Guerrilla Festival; as an artist she
specialises in lighting objects and installations.

Photo Asja entrance platform - Marko
A. Kovačič & Brane Ždralo: Fata Morgana.
A
palm tree in the centre of Novo Mesto? Fata Morgana? Yes
and no. The palms by the artistic tandem Marko A.
Kovačič and Brane Ždralo protect you against sun during
the day, while at night they shed light on your book.
You are invited to join the night reading of literature
in the public space.

Sokolski Dom façade - Jure
Miklič: In Claws.
This
lighting intervention presents a witty recycling of
lighting elements that you might have noticed at a party
in the basement of the same building: The guts of
Sokolski Dom exhibited in its windows now create a new
story symbolically echoing the fate of the building and
the city as such.
6
Former Aurora shop platform -
Kaja Avberšek & Darja Osojnik: Shine*n*Fly.
The
hennish lighting swing comes to life only at dusk, but
it is kind to the curious by day as well. Used with
caution it can offer countless pleasures.

Aurora shop window - Chair of
Textile and Fashion Design, Department of Textiles,
NTF, University of Ljubljana: A Place under the
Sun
Two
years ago, in the course of their studies under Prof.
Elena Fajt and Prof. Marija Jenko, the creators of this
installation Klementina Kranvogel and Ana Jelinič - the
latter from Novo Mesto - have changed the private for
the public. In the framework of the project, they closed
the leaves from the nearby park into a building. Is it
that the textile leaves coated with a reflective paint
warn that winter is coming after every summer?

Franciscan Monastery orchard - Academy
of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana:
Bright Talk.
Creators:
Dan Adlešič, Uršula Rihtar, Katarina Muller, Anja
Radovič and Katja Špiler; Mentor: Boštjan Drinovec.
Bright
Talk was realised at 2012 Lighting Guerrilla as an
ambient installation and a dynamic “revival” of the
garden with reactions of light to the sound. It is
actually a kind of equalising lighting system. Visitors
can »light« their voice by means of a microphone and
thus enliven the garden. APPROACH THE MICROPHONE AND
SPEAK!

8
LokalPatriot Club atrium - Andrej
Štular: Family.
Family
is a series of lighting paintings that create a unique
topography. The artist explores images of faces from
different cultures. The multi-layered paintings-objects
are like copies from his sketchbook.
11
Goga bookstore pavement - Andrej
Štular: ZA Centre.
An ambient placement of small lighting objects whose
luminance and homely warmth invite us to look at them,
touch them or even inhabit them.
10
Franciscan Church meadow - Marjeta
Zupancic Meglic: Secret Garden.
The Secret Garden installation by a free-lance lighting
designer was first publicly shown at 2008 Lighting
Guerrila in the Festival Ljubljana garden on Krizevniska
Street, and at the Belgrade of Light festival in
Belgrade. This ambient installation is a play of light
with mirror reflections on architecture.

|
HOTLINE: If you find any of the
installations in trouble, please call + 386 31 478730.
In the time of the Lighting Guerrilla festival in Novo
Mesto, the Simulaker Gallery is opened from 5 till
9 pm. Sundays, Mondays and holidays closed.
