Metascope is the most recent invention by Boštjan Čadež. It is a video device that allows observation of tiny virtual creatures. The virtual environment where they live is closely tied to the surface where we're observing them by the means of the projection. When the device is aimed at a certain surface, it uses a camera and structured light to scan that surface. The device then uses those data to generate the environment where the creatures appear. These animated beings thus virtually respond to the irregularities of the projection surface and give the impression of living on it.
