Lighting
guerilla at the Ana Desetnica festival,
Thursday and Friday, June 28th and 29th 2012
Lighting guerilla festival continues its
collaboration with Ana Desetnica, the international
festival of street theatre, with the project Audio
Ballerinas by Benoit Maubrey. Audio Ballerinas will
be performing four shows with two different
choreographies on the 28th and 29th of June.
Benoit Maubrey (1952)
develops electroacoustical clothes and creates sound
performances and installations in the public space.
He’s the founder and leader of the DIE AUDIO GRUPPE
band from Berlin
that creates and performs with electroacoustical
clothes. These clothes are equipped with amplifiers
and loudspeakers that allow the ballerinas to
record, manipulate and emit sounds orchestrated into
musical compositions in the form of an audio ballet.
Benoit Maubrey has participated with his sound
performances on many international festivals and
manifestations. He also holds workshops and
lectures. For his work he’s received many awards,
prizes and scholarships. AUDIO BALLERINAS with their
electroacoustic tutus that contain light sensors,
too, create sounds by the means of interaction of
their choreographed movements and light from the
environment.
