Lighting guerilla festival and the authors Raudia Kepper and Saša Kerkoš are inviting you to take part in the project Postani Svetloba (BeThe1Light) which will be performed as the concluding event of the festival.

»There is one stream of light that connects us all. This light will run through words, through images, and it will be the expression of humanity. This light is the bond between cultures, ethnicities and religions.

We can see the old system crumbling down as more and more changes are happening on a global scale. The old model dictates that we need to fight, while the new one is about cooperation and enhancement of our communities. This begins with recognizing and grasping our own true power, which is symbolized by light.

Public spaces enable and facilitate social interaction. Taking the light into the public space illustrates this desire for the new model of existence: collaboration & community, and focuses on reciprocal social connectedness, inspiration and shift in our perception.

“What would you say as a community to inspire other communities around the world? Which word or symbol would you use/choose?”

On facebook.com/svetlobnagverila you can vote for the word/message you prefer. We’re open for all suggestions, so don’t hesitate to contact us via Facebook. The word that gets the most votes will be used in the project. The deadline for submitting your votes is June 13th 2012.

We’re also inviting you to join us at the event on the 16th of June and bring your own light source(s): flashlights, handheld torches, mobile phones, candles, lighters, etc.) You wil be able to use them to co-create the word or the symbol that will be documented on a photograph and launched into the interwebs.
