The debut of the Israeli choreographer and dancer Shimrit Golan was premiered in September last year under the production of PTL (Plesni teater Ljubljana/Dance Theatre Ljubljana).

 

Confessions addressed to an anonymous listener that facilitate the emotional burden, create a safe space for the real and the unreal heritage of the past. A collection of genuine e-mails from private correspondence and statements which are disclosed here for the first time, reveal the intimate moment of life beyond the limits of the age of technology.

 

Shimrit Golan is a dancer, choreographer, video artist and a VJ. She’s graduated at “WIZO”  school of performative arts in Haifa, Israel, at the Royal Academy of Dancing and the Professional academy for the contemporary dance CNDC Angers in France. She’s danced with choreographers such as Alfonso Ordonez and Sabine Daharendorf, DDC Dance Drama Company, Rachel Erdos, Odeliya Kopperberg, De De Dance, Yaron Barami, Shlomi Frige, Michal Hersonski, Danaka Dance and with the Israeli opera. She’s active in the field of performative theatre and interdisciplinary groups that also include ‘live’ installations, improvisations and multimedia since 2002. She’s a professional video editor and a VJ, living and working in Tel Aviv.
